Thanks!Beautiful tank!
They did a great job I'd have a hard time giving that away!So we just had our 3rd Christmas of the year this weekend. It was with my in-laws and we always do a dirty Santa gift exchange. For the past 7-8 years I have always done a goofy themed gift. Like a homemade zombie survival kit. Breaking bad franchise kit with los pollos chicken bucket, haz mat suit, respirator, pan of blue meth(blue colored rock candy) etc. last year I let my kids help out. They love to craft and make stuff. We did a game of thrones themed gift. We made a cardboard sword, dragons eggs, my daughter sewed a cape, crown and a hand of the king pin. I usually give a bottle of booze or six pack of beer as the actual gift. Anyways, this year the kids wanted to help again. I was out of inspiration this year so my wife said, “just buy something for your tank. No one else will steal that!” So I started thinking and I bought a hydor power head. We decided to make the box an aquarium. This is what we came up with. Pretty proud of my kids! They did most of it. I ended up with it. I had little fear anybody else would try to take it. Only reefer in the family. Everyone thought it was great though. Kids were really proud of it.They did a great job I'd have a hard time giving that away!
Love the rockwork, it looks amazing!!!I have a 40 breeder and stand that I’m getting ready to have set up in about a year. Last November I bought some Marcos rock and the E Marco 400 cement kit. I got around to aquascaping this weekend and cemented my structures together. It’s two separate main pieces that fit together. This way I can move it around easier.
I then put the cemented rock in an extra 20 gallon tank to cure for 2 months. Then I’m going to pre cycle the rock with microbacter7 and occasional feeding. Then I hope to have the new system up in the fall and last I will do a 4 month full tank cycle.
I’m pretty sure I’m going to be running a bare bottom which is one reason for the really long cycle process. That and I fund this hobby on a very slim budget, so it takes me a while to save up for everything that I will need. Thanks! That means a lot. First time trying something like that. Wasn’t exactly what I had in mind but I’m happy with it.Love the rockwork, it looks amazing!!!
Very trueNice
Those caps can be a challenge once they take off for sure. I know the feeling. I hate to just throw away regular healthy frags but eventually there is no room. Challenge of a successful tank .
Absolutely beautiful tank
