The RFG itself comes with two flexible threaded pieces, but there's no way those will connect. The threads are spaced way too far apart--you can see from my pic that the threads on the tube are quite narrow.

I think you just push it in and the corrugate grabs the threads. Right? @Vivid Creative Aquatics

The silicone seam isn't too bad. It's like a 1/16th of an inch chunk taken out. It's not like that all the way down to the bottom. I can see that's It's solid below that. I'd say the missing part is 1/16 inch wide by barely a 1/16 inch deep. Is this something to be concerned about? The water won't even go up that high. I asked the lady and she said she didn't know what i was talking about and to send better pictures. I sent more pictures. I'll see what they say tomorrow.

I wouldn’t be concerned. Seems like a tiny spec missing.

If it was bubbles in the middle I would be worried.

You can probably take a dab of silicone on a toothpick and fill that little spot

There aren't any bubbles. Everything looks good other than that spot.

FYI I asked why the strainer wasn’t included on recent orders and was told:

yes it never really was included we just did it with yours but Dennis said he will just starting to include it now automatically when someone mentions they are on the Forum….

So, anyone from the forum that purchases will get it at no charge, but you need to mention your a forum member/referral

I decoded to go with the 1 inch RFG plus locline mod. But I don't know how this fits together:

PXL_20240719_010920786.jpg

These threads don't fit in the output (sleeve?).

Any ideas?
Hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like that is the back of the bulkhead. That adapter is design to push-fit into the front of the bulkhead , or the "wet side".

What you have in you hand is one of our Multidatper™ fittings. it is basically a push-fit adapter design to fit in both slip-a and threaded bulkhead and pipe sockets. The ridges along the base of the adapter are actually more like a hose barbs that threads.

Here are some examples of what you can do with a Multidapter

Specifically, that Multidapter in your photo is a 2530-100, which mean it fits bulkheads and pipe sockets with a 25 to 30mm inner diameter, which cover 3/4in Schl 40 PVC pipes and bulkheads.

You 1in RFGs should have also comes with a 3035-Sereis Multidapter as well for 1in bulkhead and pipe sockets

Yes, those are the two I ordered, but I don't see any threaded locline that would go into the 1 inch tube.
See my post immediately above this one :)

You can also find the Mutlidapters on our website where you can learn a little more about how they work, here

Does this part need to be removed to be able to push in the 1in multiadapter?
1721416549155.jpeg

Or maybe this is where it needs to be grabbed and unscrewed?

Thanks for the help!

So Dennis looked at the pictures and he said it's nothing to worry about. He said that happens quite often on the top edges and it won't leak because of that, and I can put some silicone there if I want.

So, it looks like that bulkhead is being use in a sort of reverse fashion. Typical the protruding end of a bulkhead stick out the back of the tank, as opposed into the the tank.

BUT, assuming that is a 3/4in bulkhead (threaded or slip) then that adapter should be able to fit inside the end. if its slip - simply jam it in, until it locks in place. if its threaded, then you have to sort of pus and twist - the barbs lock on to the thread.

Another options is you can use the two adapters you got in combo. If you also have the threaded NPT with the loc-line like I saw early in this thread, with one of @VintageReefer's posts, then you can use that and combo the adapter like this?

If you still having trouble figuring it out - send me a DM, and I'll be happy to help you with some additonla photos of your setup.

Antonio...

Ok I see what they are doing
It’s 1” tubing and a 1” bulkhead, threaded on both sides. The nut is on the inside of the tank.

And they use a reducer to go from 1” down to 3/4” threaded. And they give you 3/4” threaded lockline

The bulkhead is still backwards... And yours has two many gaskets.
From the inside the tank to the outside of the tank: Bulkhead, gasket, glass, nut, 90 elbow.
You normally would not want the nut to tighten next to a gasket. If for whatever reason you wanted to keep the bulkhead in this configuration, you would need to remove the gasket on the inside of the glass next to the nut.

thank you for the tip. I totally forgot that we only need a gasket on one side

Only explanation I have for the config this way is it keeps the tank slightly closer to the wall and has the protruding side of the bulkhead inside the tank? That white elbow screws in and seems like it could screw in either side just the same
