Waterbox plumbing… Good or bad?

If you could would you do your own plumbing or is their plumbing problem free?

I’m having a custom waterbox built, and trying to decide if I should use a different sump and do my own plumbing, or just go with use their plumbing for simplifying things.

Supposedly they can modify/customize the sump as well, so I plan to do away with the filter sock area and have it sized for a fleece roller, protein skimmer, RO chamber for ATO, and enough return pump area for two return pumps.

So far their quoted price on the plumbing and sump combined would be about $7-800. I’m not sure what custom plumbing would cost on a 5 ft tank if I were to do it myself using the nice colored pvc ive seen online. An aftermarket sump can easily cost the $800 alone depending on who I go with.

But I realize if I don’t like my choice it could be changed down the road, but it would never be as easy as it would be in the initial build stages. So curious what you all would do?

Thanks for any feedback,

Mike

I don’t have one of these tanks so keep that in mind. . .

For me I would probably just go with the waterbox plumbing and sump unless you have some super specific need. They seem to be a pretty well respected brand and I am all for simplicity!!!

Hopefully some owners can chime in! Bump!
