I'm happy with mine.

Heads up apparently they used red seas template for the filter sock holder. I just put three of red seas filter media cup holders and they dropped right in no forcing. I bought those intentionally because people were complaining in the reviews that they were too small for their holders except the red sea people. I'm just running floss in them. I'm tired of tying up the washing machine on the weekends. Three kids worth of school clothes come first.
They still selling these discounted for local pickup? Looks like they stopped including the plumbing. This would be a nice intermediate upgrade between my packed 40 and the dream tank... But I'd need to sell like 10 black widow splits, haha!
Great find! Can you post a link please?
PMThe discount code was a temp promo that ended a while ago. And then from shipping these pallets all over the country they started charging for the return plumbing kit (was originally an add on, then included, and back to being an add on) because they were losing money after shipping
However…I spoke with my contact this month and I happened to ask them, what is your absolute best price you could do, if someone didn’t need shipping and could come pick it up? they told me…if they pick up and pay cash, they could sell for $1100 and INCLUDE the plumbing kit!
And if you need lighting…they said they have plenty of lights they could offer discounts on. Might have been open box for promo shoot for the website. Return pumps also
One the verge of buying… anyone have any pictures of the tanks? Not just online/website pictures but set up in home with water and sump full all the good stuff? Inbetween this and the water box 110.4…. @legionofdoon

Check now!? I see no pm
can the stand be painted with some good epoxy paint or similar?

yesHere's a problem I'm mulling over.
This is our sump:
I am going skimmerless and would like to make the middle section both a macro and a cryptic refugium. This is my thought process:
Front half is macroalgae, and the back half is a lot of live rock, nonphotosynthetic sponges and whatnot. I would want sand and mud as the substrate. If I cover half of the middle section with black polycarbonate or something like that, I'm sure that the back half will be dark enough on the back sides of the rocks and inside of them to support a large cryptic zone. However, there's a design flaw...
As you can see, we can't put substrate down, because it will go into Chamber B and block the inlet of water coming through the socks/filter cups (I'm going with filter cups).
Trying to think of the best way to do this. Would adding another baffle, say 3-4inches tall work? I'd like it to be tall enough that the substrate doesn't blow around into Chamber B.
Or maybe go with plastic tuppers, almost like potted plants (and potted rocks/sponges)?
What do you think?
Thanks!
