I love them all. I wish wall hammers did better for me than they have in the past because some of them have super rare colors (probably because of how poorly they tend to do in tanks so we don’t have many of them in captivity).

They’re gorgeous. I have one right now that’s doing well but I’ve had a couple of morphs that just did not even when everything around them was doing amazing. Just hard to know what the problem was.

They definitly are more sensitive and if you have an issue…the whole colony is infected.

I actually fragged my original wall hammer into 3 pieces because of the damage caused. Removed the bjd section that was from the nipping. And the two remaining frags survived and were healing nicely. And then the fish killed them both.

Voted Hammers. I just like their growth pattern more. I prefer the bushy, fluffy look to a hammer garden rather than the wild flailing tentacles of a Torch garden. Frogspawn/Octospawn are a close second. Frammers are also great, but I consider them Hammers in this context.

I also like that I can combine Hammers and Frog/Octos within the same garden rather than keep them separate like Torches. Plus, there's a lot less uncertainty with Hammers and Frogs in terms of when they might actually kill each other, whereas with Torches, you just never know really.

I think it’s that frogspawn has one ball/dot/lump thing per branch tip and Octo has multiple

Or maybe it was octospawn has the bumps all along the branch? Here’s some octospawn and last is a frogspawn

Both frogspawns (F. [para]divisa) and octoapawns (F. yaeyamaensis) can have multiple acrospheres per tentacle. The main difference is that frogspawns have them more spaced out on longer tentacle "stalks", while octospawns have secondary "radial" acrospheres on the side of the tentacle. I have also heard that frogspawns have "flattened tentacles" with "peripheral acrospheres".
