Euphyllia is one of my favorite types of LPS! With some of the best-looking flow in the world of sea critters, Euphyllia is always pieces of eye candy in a Saltwater Aquarium. But the real question is: Which are your favorite, and why?

Torches, Hammers, or Frogspaw. What is your favorite type of Euphyllia? Why?

I voted how can I possibly choose as I just love all 3! If I HAD to pick one I'd go with hammer just because I used to have a very beautiful hammer in the past. After I move and get settled I really would love to get some of these again.

Torches more movement and better colors also they grow faster at least between the torches , hammers and frogspawn that I have in my tank

I had to go with torches because of their long tentacles, not at all for their popularity. BUT frogspawn is a VERY close second. I love frogspawn for some reason.
I also LOVE Frogspawn! They're so mesmerizing to me!

Torches, then Frogspawn. Torches, because of the graceful movement, have great color choices, and can be grouped together into a garden. I've also seen torches host clowns before. Frogspawn because they are very forgiving and cost much less then torches.

When I first started I always wanted a torch and over time, I'm totally into hammers and I find frogspawns more my preference than torches now because they have different polyps and patterns, and translucent to a degree

I love the way torches look but they take up soo much real estate and I have small tanks. For me the frogspawns and hammers are a better fit. I have an 8 head (started as 1) bright green frogspawn with blue tips in my tank(34g red sea) that takes up an entire corner. My wife has 2 hammers, an ocotspawn, and a frogspawn in her biocube.

Not to be that person, but hammers and frogspawn are Fimbriaphyllia, not Euphyllia.

Also, you forgot cristata torches and octospawn.
Oh, I had no idea. My bad! After I read your comment I went looking about found this thread about it. Great info about this for sure. thanks!

I think it’s that frogspawn has one ball/dot/lump thing per branch tip and Octo has multiple

Or maybe it was octospawn has the bumps all along the branch? Here’s some octospawn and last is a frogspawn
