Back to the Nano. My SPS dominant 22 gallon Fiji Cube (some LPS)

New pics. Everything looks pretty good. Time to a few more rock mountings I think. Tank is starting get over the new tank syndrome. Did puff up a bunch of debris from rocks and racks. But the stringy mess plus diatoms on the sand are clearing. I think that the conch that I moved into the tank from the 60 was a good idea. As well as a few Ceriths and a couple small turbo.

Yeah one of the other reefers I know got a very similar one on his live rock. We determined that it’s most likely a Rose Coral, native to those areas mainly.

Did a bit of debris removal and moved one more onto the rocks. Probably do one or two more tomorrow . The corals acted as if it was feeding time when I puffed up the debris on the rocks and such.

I had to transfer all my frags back to my main tank. They started bleaching. Something went very wrong, most parameters were ok except low nutrients and a spike in my DKH. Have to figure out how that happened.

I am pretty sure everyone will survive. Will have to go back and look at my notes. But I feel something went wrong with my kalk dosing and the tank was too new to absorb the influx. Or one of my additives reacted to the kalk.

Low Phosphates and high alkalinity together can cause tip burn.

I’m hoping with the ramping of lights that’s happening plus being moved to more in the middle will help.

Things are starting to color up a little . Still lots of green. At least it’s not lots of dead.

Did a manual scrub to take care of an outbreak of algae. Probably due to too much organics in water. Hit it with Fluco and got cuc. Will have to keep up with scrubbing for bit most likely. Reducing the “feeding” will help too. Just pushed it a little too fast I guess.

Latest from today. I did some mounting of a few of Acros . Lost one, the Bling Bling, and an another unnamed one that came as a freebie. Everything else looks pretty good. The chunky Cheshire Cat Acro had been sulking for quite some time, seems to like its relocation spot. I’ve been fiddling with the lights and they seem to like this setting. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with how things look.
