Backyard tank update

As you can see, the temperature change for this 40g is pretty extreme. Only algae survived this swing is Green Finger and Chaeto. The Red Gracilaria Hayi didn’t survive. Even aiptasia didn’t make it. So moving everything over to a 150g Rubbermaid and at same time I can combine rocks that I’m cycling.

I made a cover which let sun shine through for algae growth, and reduce water evaporation.
Does anyone know any fish that will survive this extreme temperature swing change ?

Mean while the lotus pond comes along nicely

All the water I use for those two tanks are from my RODI waste reservoir.

did water change today, removed some sand in the display. sand removal is going to be a long process.

I was going to do one with my octospawn moves in but here goes

ok Im trying something different this time with 1/2" DO tube instead of tiny air line tubes. let see if this ph will keep up with bigger airflow from outside this time

so to document co2 scrubber improvement via apex.

finally removed sand bed in front of the tank, will just leave the sand in the back alone as is.

I’m really blessed that my garage tanks doesn’t go over 79 in the garage without chiller and just a fan above the tank.
