I couldn’t agree with this statement any more! My husband was trying to convince me to let him run pcv through the floor to connect the the new system we are building to the one currently running. I ALMOST let him do it till he came to the conclusion it was a bad idea to connect a larger immature system to the smaller mature one that covers freshly cleaned Powerheads in coralline in less than a week lol. Our largest one time acclimation was in the 40s and IT WAS HELL! Lol. Definitely time to start being selective! For now... hahahaWell I kinda have to..... you’ll run outta room real quick. Which then you become a little more selective of what gets to go in the tank. Plus acclimating and finding places for 15-30 pieces gets to be too much of a hassle, even with two reefs in the house. I’ve done the whole 4-5 tank thing and without a common sump, or other means, to connect them together it gets to where it becomes more like work everyday.
