All is Fair in Love and Coral: How often do you buy new coral?

Whenever someone questions whether they have enough coral, a certain song lyric from The Greatest Showman comes to mind. It says, "NEVER ENOUGH! Never, never!" And that is genuinely how I feel, and I bet some of you also feel that way! Some people say money can't buy happiness, which is true. But it can buy coral. And isn't that the same thing?

How often do you buy new coral?

I’m about 1 year in to corals and a recent inventory of my 75g showed I’ve got 40 coral species (Soft, LPS, SPS and one RBTA if that counts)… so I’m on a hiatus for a bit.

/actually acquired 43, but two died (some of my first attempts with LPS before I got parameters right), and I used to have waving hand anthelia, which I really liked, but removed because it kept sending out polyps to try take over the tank.

Bwahahaha... use to buy coral almost daily, now my tanks are so jam packed I can barely fit what I have... got a bad case of collectoritus and that's the only thing that stopped my addiction... went from one tank to 3 and that's where the boss, aka wife, drew the line and cut me off!!!

Look it’s not my fault. I see pretty I must own pretty. I was so proud of myself I didn’t buy a scoly I saw at a LFS on Thursday in Texas while at a work function. But I may or may not have bought stuff from a streaming event on Tuesday.

I’m know I have a problem.

I probably buy weekly if when I see it my brain yells “oooooo I don’t have that color” or “ooooo I could fit one more Goni!”

In my defense I just got another tank so eventually I’ll be able to move stuff to a new tank and make space.
