I’m converting a 2 year old softie tank to anemone only will likely add the first this weekend.
I was doing a little rescaping and came across a lone aiptasia, maybe 1cm in diameter.
It’s was only on a small rock, so I got rid of the entire thing.

Appreciate these get a lot of hate in mixed reefs but do they pose any risk if they’re kept with BTAs?
I’m not planning to cultivate them, but where there’s smoke there’s fire and I’m trying to avoid a tear down to look for more.

Cheers

Aiptasia are also anemones.
Nems can move if they are being irritated by something. So unless you have one nem chasing another around the tank like a super slow PAC-MAN game, you should be fine regardless
