Sump situation solved!

David @TriggerSystems has been awesome at guiding me through the process. We decided on a modified EMERALD26 that changes the width to 15". That makes the skimmer chamber 10"x10.25". More than enough for my Skimz DC Skimmer!

So, with that queued up for future completion, I get plenty of time to work on aquascape, lighting, and cord management.

Will be a slow next few weeks, but I'll be sure to document any changes. [emoji106]

Haven't been able to make much progress without a sump.

My custom, Trigger Systems, sump was on schedule to ship this week, but they have been a bit backed up. It should be on its way next week. Then the real setup can begin.

Have been thinking of doing green sch40 pvc (from BRS) to match the Trigger Emerald sump. Also tossing around the idea of an ATI 24" (8bulb) fixture for lighting.

We'll see though. [emoji4]

Started cord management and equipment placement. Now I need to finalize the equipment placement, and order the Vectra-specific driver mount, then off to plumbing.

Vortech Cord management.

Need to drill a bigger hole for the Apex Display cord. But you get the point.

Beautiful craftsmanship on that stand. I love my Trigger Systems sump, one of the best investments I made, now I just need my tank to get things up and running.

That's going to be a beautiful tank!

In the pic Cord Management...do you have the cords attached to the tank in anyway? If not, I would. If one of the powerheads gets knocked loose and falls it might pull one or all of them down.

Looking good. Love the sump. Awesome that Trigger would make a custom one for you.

Thanks, it took quite a bit longer to make due to the Holidays but they finally got to it. It was WELL worth the wait!

Although I did have to trim up the skimmer cosmetics to get it to fit properly. (You can see some flanges around the top trimmed off a bit.)

Thanks! My stand builder, @jlanger, is dang good at what he does!

I am happy with their craftsmanship so far. The real test will come when it gets wet! [emoji6]

Great set up!

Thanks, Rev!

Thanks! It sure is taking long enough to come together, but I wanted to really take my time and think this one out. Something that has been lacking in previous years' setups.

Trust me, I had plenty of those "wire guides" from EcoTech to keep the pumps from crashing off. I installed them shortly after the pictures were taken. [emoji4][emoji106]

i liked your placement of your vortechs and the means to consolidate the cords. very clever!

Thanks! Hopefully the flow is right with that placement, otherwise I would add two more MP10s on the sides. But my goal was to be as unobtrusive as possible.

I don't mean to hi jack but I love that profile pic.

Haha! Thanks. I've used it for the past few years on some other forums and once before on R2R under an alter ego. Wife says it fits me perfectly. [emoji23][emoji4]
