Did a little aquascapng this weekend to make room for the new additions I got from TCK. Pikachu is front lining right up under the 250 mh so hopefully I can continue the great yellow coloring.

Just a few new photos of the tank taken tonight, built new shelf to move large green acro too. Corals are starting to encroach each other so it's time to start spreading things out. Next cube tank already in the planning stage as these guys are running out of room and there are still so many corals left to buy.

Can you provide some more specs on this tank? What lights are you using? Which sump? What skimmer? Dosing method?

Looks fantastic! I'm planning a tank and would like to use some ideas from this one.

Sure, I should have probably included that.

Skimmer:
SRO -2000int skimmer and that sits in a nextreef 24 sumo which was the what I could fit below my tank and not take up the entire area

Return pump:
Eheim 1262 pump

Lighting:
Giesemann Infiniti 24" (1) 250 Double ended MH with Phoenix 14k bulb
(4) T5's 1 actinic, 2 blue plus, 1 purple plus

Dosing:
I dose using the Neptune Dos for calc and alk. Currently using brightwell calc and alk. Along with brightwell trace elements, potassium and magnesium.

Powerheads:
(2) Vortex quiet drive mp 40's

How high do you have your MP40's set?

I also really appreciate the overhang in the rockwork. Looks great!

They are set at only a third of their power. I usually have them at the fifth light for the max. Anymore and the sand goes everywhere. Currently I get a nice circular motion around the tank with just the two plus the return pump. As for the rock work I drilled a few holes and used the fiberglass snow stake rods you can get from Lowes for the couple large pieces and the rest I just used some good epoxy. I found it a lot easier to tape out the footprint of the tank on a piece of cardboard and then build the rock work on the living room floor. Then you can epoxy and move things around a lot easier. Once done you can just set the rock work into the tank.

i have the same tank. I have 2 MP40s and it it hard for me to place sps because of too much flow even though i have the MP40 running at no more than 40%. How high do you run your vortechs? I assume they are MP40s? Are the corals getting blasted with flow or are they well below the pump as to not be hit with direct flow?

I have my vortechs high in the tank so they go right over most the corals. I put them at the same level on the side and on the back wall so it creates some turbulence. Sps seem to like it. As for the lights I'm running giesemann Infiniti with (1) 250 mh and 4 t5's. Bulb is a Phoenix 14k with a mix of blue plus, actinic and a purple plus to help with the reds. May swap out for more purple plus and add some reef rite royal blue LED here soon but haven't decided.

Looking good. I appreciate your level of detail. The tank looks great! I just started my 93g build so I will be following this along for ideas. Thanks for posting.

I've made a few changes to the front island so that I could add a half dozen frags. The shelf blends in from the front so I tried to get a couple side photos to show how it extends out. Going to need a new tank here before too long.
