Very diverse sump!

I am not so sure about one mp10. Maybe a 40 but not a 10.

ah thank you! I look at my sump as much as I look at my DT :)

dang, I figured. I found two used mp40s on here but neither people got back to me. the search continues!

These procedure should get your fish eating frozen quickly.

Don't feed the fish for a few days.

Then feed him live food using tongs. I would use small guppies or ghost shrimp so the food doesn't fill him up as much and he will eat multiple items. He will quickly associate the tongs with food.

After a week feed him a guppy/shrimp with the tongs then a piece of frozen with the tongs. He might spit the frozen food out at first. Keep trying and he will get it.

a mp10 should be fine. At 100% you will have more then 20x turnover rate.

thank you so much for the advice! actually his previous owner was already feeding him with tongs so hopefully I can finish up and get him on frozen!

I guess I can try the mp10 and see if it is sufficient enough, if not I'll change it out.

tank is coming together! more macro soon. I might do all the green at the bottom and all the red on the rock.

Waldo is now converted to frozen silversides. :)

I'm aware the eel might eat the CUC, we'll see.

moved the tank back from my friends house, all the macro died and it just wasn't doing well. the eel didn't make the move :/ super upset. my friend bought a lion for it.

radion is finally hung up, added a jabao pump on the opposite site of the mp10.

Waldo is well. :)

adding a red variety of macro tomorrow to see how it does. then, I'll move the rest over.

update! got two purple rock urchins to add to the CUC, and a zebra turbo snail.

50 turbos coming in Thursday....I might give some away it might be overkill. LOL.

Waldo and the lion are the best of friends, and they're both eating frozen silversides regularly.

I'm on the lookout for another rhinopias! let me know if you see one around. :)

snails arrived! pretty small for turbos (see my large turbo in one of the pics) but they all seemed very healthy.

transferred my orange biscuit star to this tank. he's been in my sump but I figured he'd have more LR to graze on in here.

visited my tank today. (it unfortunately resides at my friends house, in a different city....for now).

all is well, mostly. volitan is growing, waldo is happy, the decorator crab decided to eat ALL of the snails except for the big zebra turbo. [emoji58]

CUC left:
-zebra turbo
-2 purple spine urchins
-orange biscuit star
-serpent star
-emerald crab
-decorator crab

I think it'll be fine for now. mr. decorator crab will be thrown in my sump when I convert this tank into a reef! which, is the plan when I am able to have this tank with me. hopefully let my friend keep the lion and just have Waldo. then go for an LPS dominated tank, and possibly share the sump to my 8G reef that is already set up: skimmed, dosed, GFO reactor, ATO, etc.

Very nice. I'm going for a 40 breeder that will be housing a rhino and a fuzzy dwarf. That volitan lion is going to get too big for that 60 cube really quick so i would say to have you friend take him. Loving the macro though. I'm planning a mangrove tank for mine.

thanks! I love mangroves, I have them in my sump of my other tank.

I think a 40b would be too small for a full grown rhino. mines over 7" easily.

yes, the volitan is my friends, he's building a bigger tank (starting soon) so when I take my tank back he'll take his lion!

once I get it back, it will probably just house the rhino and maybe an angler, and I'm turning it into an lps reef.

40 breeder is fine for a rhino. I've gone through enough research on them to know that at least...Anglers are sweet and my 75 is a LPS tank. I'm partial to the LPS as they just seem to be more "wavy" and pleasing to the eye to watch.

man I disagree, mine looks small for my 60, I was thinking about getting a 90 for a pair.

yeah, I just like the challenge of sticks in a nano. it makes it fun.
