I am currently running a 225g Sps heavy tank. About 10-12 softball colonies and 10-14 fist sized ones. Alot of zoos and palys and 3 large clams.
I have 2tsp's Kalk to every 1 gallon of RODI in the ATO reservoir.
My bubble magus doser doses 185ml a day divided into 12 doses of the BRS soda ash (2.5 cups to 1 gallon mixed solution.)
I also dose 200ml of calcium chloride also chopped up into 12 doses per day.
20ml of magnesium solution a day in 8 doses.
Question is: does one react to the other in a precipitating manner.
Is this a good way to keep my levels?
The reason I use Kalk in my ATO is that Gfo would lower my ph significanty.
I only achieved stable ph with Kalk, I could not do the same with just 2 part I have tried but am open ears.
Kalk in my last system 90 gallon was real stable but with half the coral load and without the 2 part/3part, just Kalk.
My results now is 7.8-8.9 alk and calcium is pretty much tuned at 420-430.
I just want to perfect this alkalinity thing.
Am I doing things right?
