Made a mistake by purchasing a damselfish before i finished purchasing other fishes. It practically killed a new fish that I introduced by constantly chasing it around for a few days. The damselfish is now on deathrow (the sump).
The sump area is probably 9 gallons or so of swim volume for him. He was only a $8 fish so I could give him away or back to the LFS. I was going to set up a 5 gallon pico tank for some softies; would the damselfish be okay as the only fish in there, kind of small in my opinion? Or I could keep him in my sump long term. Last option is the toilet, but I would prefer it if he got a pardon.
What would you do?
