This looks awesome mate! You've done a great job and made good progress so far.
Love all your equipment to, I'd love to get my hands on one of those Dastaco calcium reactors. Keen to see how you go with it!

Thank you for the comment. I hope you tag along for the further progress.
This week I continue with the cabinet and preparing the rodi water.

Tonight I continued on the cabinet and finalized most of it.
Cutting the boards to size, made an opening for the Red Dragon pump controller, added the Reeflink, some holes for the controllers and installed the GHL powerbars with connections.
More or less the final look will be as in the pictures.
Depending on the noise from the sump, it can be closed by removable panels.
My wood carving skills still have to be improved but I am happy with the result.

Tomorrow I remove the rest of the tap water from the sump. This was still remaining after the leak test and I will set up my rodi station to start filling the tank.

I was quiet late tonight so tomorrow I add some more detailed pictures of how the board are attached and electrics are done.

The other day I also bought a CRAS BPR135 recirculating bio pellet reactor.
This I could find here in Dubai and will be much better than the Fauna Marin reactor which I had.
The outlet of the CRAS reactor can be connected directly to the skimmer where the Fauna Marin is an overflow reactor.
The Fauna Marin will be used for carbon in later stage.

That looks amazing I love it
Thanks Clayton.
Will take some detailed pictures later as from a distance it looks good, but not as good as I would have liked it to be.
I am lacking some tools but once done, the boards can easily be replaced as I did not use screws. Just a matter of disassembly and give them to a proper workshop to copy.
One step closer to water filling.

Love how clean your setup is!
Thanks.
Luckily this is only the setting up of the tank.
I bet once in operation it will get more messy I guess.
Nicely done. :)
Thank you. Your tank is doing great. I hope for the same result.

Thank you.
This will be the biggest tank I will ever get.
So we will make the best of it.

In the last days I finished the electrical part and connected the GHL Profilux controller to the 3 powerbars. The cabinet was also finalised and power connected.
The rodi station was hung and I bought a 20m tube to have direct supply of rodi in the tank. After 24 hours we are almost half way. By tomorrow I probably can add salt and get the water on salinity.
The rocks have been kept "live" for the last 3 months so as soon as salinity is more or less close to 1.025 scaping can be done.

Here also some more details on the cabinet.

I had the same problem with the noise. Even after trying to adjust the full siphon. I ended up removing the j pipe for the full syphon and adjusting it. All I can hear now is some water movement in the tank.
My pump had to be turned down a lot also.

Thank you for the comment and suggestion.
So on the full siphon you do no longer have any connection inside the overflow box?
I am sure my pump flow was too high during the leak test. At least I know now the plumbing is ok and soon I can run at a lower speed to adjust the overflow.

Do you have any noise from the overflow box inside the display tank?

For lighting I will be using these bulbs.
Enough to play around but I start with the recommendation of the supplier.
5 Crystal Blue
2 Spectra+
1 UV

You can run a full siphon with the J pipes provided. However, I was having a difficult time achieving this. Especially since their is vent holes in both pipes. Therefore, I removed (2.5" PVC and J Pipe from the overflow box) for the full siphon and adjusted the flow until the 2nd pipe was almost submerged. The only noise I hear is the water splashing inside the tank from waves. The overflow and sump are quiet as can be. I may decide to adjust it later but I find it difficult to dry fit the PVC inside of the overflow so I let it be. I ended up reducing my vectra m1 2000gph to 40% to avoid the splashing in the sump aswell as in the tank. I find it moves more than enough water at that rate and I can also ramp it up from time to time to flush out the system.

Overflow is great once you get it to become silent... I enjoyed your setup pictures very much!
