Opting for violet or purple PVC, as some might see it. This was a deeply personal choice, as it was my moms favorite color. This color holds a special place in my heart, and by incorporating it into my tank, it feels like I have a piece of her with me.

I decided to run a single return line because I wouldn't be able to connect the unions once the stand and tank are leveled in their final spot. That side of the tank is going to be sitting in the corner of my living room, and how in the world would I be able to connect those unions? Because I decided to run one return, I had to plan for optimal water movement in the main display. I will be utilizing a single RFG, along with two MP 40s and an AI Orbit 2. I plan to add a second RFG @Vivid Creative Aquatics with a Y-splitter for dual output :smirking-face:

The Purple/violet looks amazing,. Very clean looking.

For that single RFG - lets consider a single 1in Random Flow Generator , and then lets supply it with at least 650 GPH. Off the one side that single 1in RFG would rock this tank.

the 1in RFG nozzle come with fittings for both 3/4 and 1ion bulkheads. if you still have the ability, i would suggest ta slip-bulkhead - as that is the most versatilely, in either size

Will we see you at Reef-a-Palooza Cali in a few weeks?

A week ago, I did a leak test on the main display to make sure the overflow box was okay. But the overflow box was leaking from both sides of the gasket, inside and outside. The more I tighten the locking nut, the worse the drip gets. I also noticed that the box does not sit flat against the aquarium back glass. The original overflow box had some kind of stress cracks and shared those videos with Synergy Reef via Instagram message. They were very nice and sent out a replacement box. I reach out to them again, and they seem to be annoyed with my situation. They responded, “We do not support via Instagram." I pointed out all the issues, especially that it does not sit flat. They said that had nothing to do with it and that I had something else going on. So I decided to give up on them. I reached out to Joe from Glasscages via phone, and we talked about my situation. He’s always been a wonderful guy to work with, and he wanted to send some parts to fix my overflow box. I kindly rejected the offer and told him that I had started to look at other options because I needed a more reliable product. I went ahead and ordered an overflow box from Modular Marine, and it's expected to arrive today.

I decide to send another message to Synergy Reef to extend my gratitude for the support and that I had done everything possible to stop the leak without success. Therefore, I had decided to order a new custom box from another vendor, which I did not specify to them. They replied back that they wanted my number to jump on a call. We didn't connect on a call because I was busy with work meetings. I wish we had jumped on a call with them when I first started to see all those leaks. I'm not trying to bash on Synergy Reef, as I have one of their ATO reservoirs, and it's beautiful, and they make some amazing sumps. Unfortunately, this time things didn't work out, and I had to move on.

I recently received my recent purchase of the Modular Marine, 1600 gph LOW PROFILE Overflow Box. The custom adjustments made to fit the predrilled holes on my tank were impeccable, and the quality of the product is outstanding. The team's responsiveness and willingness to provide support during after-hours have not gone unnoticed. Such dedication to customer service is rare. Modular Marine has earned a lifelong customer.

I decided to go with 80/20 extruded aluminum, 10 series, one inch for my lighting fixture project. The decision to utilize 80/20 was based on durability and ease of customization.

Sorry for the late update. I was dealing with some family issues, but here it goes.

The tank was filled up a few weeks ago and was fully cycled by September 11th. I used the RapidCycle Aquarium Cycle Kit from @Bulk Reef Supply which is a bottle of Fritz-Zyme Turbo Start 900 and AlgaeBarn NitroCycle. The tank was cycled fairly quickly since my rock was cycling since May of 2024. I'm also very happy with how my lighting combo turned out

The 80/20 setup you have for the lighting is amazing, i'm hoping to make something like that one day. Did you do it yourself ? Or have someone design it for you ?

Thank you! I did it myself. It took a lot of planning. I got the 3D mounts from "NeonReef3d" (IG name). Golden State Corals sells most of his stuff on their site. But if you're looking for something custom, it's best to message him directly through Instagram.

Thank you! I redid the right side because I wasn't feeling it lol. I will post pictures soon :winking-face:

Looking good! I’ll be following. I’ve actually been thinking about ordering a similar sized tank from Joe. I’m another victim of FijiCube who is looking a replacement. I saw your original FijiCube 76 build thread, but did not heed your warnings! ‍♂️
now i need to search for this Fijicube post!!

Hello Aquarium Enthusiasts!

I am thrilled to announce the start of a build thread for my new aquarium. I'm happy to have chosen my dream tank from @Joe Glass Cages to replaced my previous FijiCube tank. This upgrade has been a dream come true, and I owe a huge thank you to @Bulk Reef Supply and Joe for their invaluable guidance and support throughout this journey.

In this thread, I will detail the process of transitioning to the new tank, highlighting how I'm repurposing much of my existing equipment while also integrating key upgrades with the support of BRS. I believe this will not only enhance the environment for my aquatic friends but also provide a more efficient and aesthetically pleasing setup.

Stay tuned for updates, photos, and tips as I embark on this exciting project. Your feedback and suggestions are always welcome! Check out my Instagram account for more content @ JC.Reef
