Major change: remove the sand bed!
Well, I am kind of perfectionist, (or maybe OCD [emoji28]), and it bug me a lot when the sand bed is not even. (Sand shifting)
I removed most of it with 15 gallons water change yesterday. The rest will be removed eventually in a next couple water change.

Also, I treat the cyano with Chemiclean. Works perfectly. After 48 hours, cyano just flying around in the water columns.
The tank is clean with crystal clear water! [emoji39]

One more thing I notice recently is snails. I think my astral snails are breeding. There are a lot of baby snails in different sizes, but they are all over the tank. [emoji7]

Another no-named acro. The color on this on just...weird. The blue is not normal blue, the polyps are also have weird coloration. Very interesting acro indeed.

Wd is doing quite good.

Beside that, the old acro growing and coloring up amazing. Note that no traces or additives added on this tank. Just calcium reactor.

No additives on this tank? Are you still doing the reef roids on this tank?

I am doing a test on this.
No trace or any other supplements to see how’s the grow and coloration develop.
About reefroid, I am not using it yet because I everything are still small and don’t need food. It’s not part of the test since I can say for sure it works. I am not sure if acros actually “eat” the particles or acros are beneficial from the nutrient reefroid release, but it works.

I'm amazed your getting those colors in a new tank without adding anything. Most new tanks the corals look pale. Things are looking great so far!

Well, most of the stuff I add have been in my 45 gallons system for a couple months.
But so far everything keep their color or color up pretty good. Even the one that super hard to color up like Pearlberry keep its color perfectly.
And the grow rate o the pink cadillac is so amazing. I can’t believe myself when I compare with the old pic . Only 20 days![emoji15][emoji15][emoji15]

I can say color is the same or a little better. Encrusting nicely.

Only the wd is not as colorful as it should be.

So far the only maintenance on this one is 15 gallons water change every 2 weeks. Change carbon (I have a reactor for it now) every month.
I like to keep things simple.

Some major updates on the tank:
- Calrx is gone, replacing it is APEX DOS with ESV 2 parts.
- sand is gone. High flow in sandbed doesn’t mix well together. Every decision come with a cost. I lost the rr pretty in pink mini colony and the inner core after I remove the sand.

Colorations on this tank is not “spot on” but the grow rate is tremendous.
Some comparisons:

That is some nice growth to beautiful corals. May I ask how you mount the corals to the LR?
