About the skimmer too. It's your cement. If you glued anything to that is it. Mines been doing it for about a week now. Just cemented my corals down. There all starting to grow so I decided it time. And now my skimmer is just over flowing. Anytime this week it should be back to normal for me

Any updates on this? Did you end up curing the rock before putting it in the tank?

I said I stock the tank 2 months ago. Well, I lie.[emoji28]
I had a huge algae outbreak right after that post. Phosphate must leak out from the rock. I didn't cure them before put in the tank. Indeed, I didn't even wash them! [emoji28]
Anyway, the algae are gone (almost) so I decide to put some frags in to see how they do in the new tank.
Walt Disney change its color to green (my wd colony doesn't have any green. The frag was pink when I put it in) and doesn't have full polyps extension. I can tell that it's not happy!

"No named" yellow tenuis. It's green now, but it suppose to be...yellow. [emoji19]
This one is doing good. Polyps fully out.

This time, I try not to glue acros on the rock work.

Beside that, I am having a green slime algae problem. They are all over the rock-work and sand bed.

Any idea best way to get rid of them???[emoji26]

Fishes: I am not proud. In fact, I killed almost the whole tank population due to some diseases. They had something like bacteria infection and dead. Every time I add a new fish (anthias, wrasses,...), they have the same symptom and gone in 2~3 days! [emoji27]

I am thinking of getting a uv light. Anyone can recommend me on this? I've never have one before.
Only 4 fishes left, but luckily they are doing very good. Healthy and no sign of disease on them.

Was wondering where you’ve been. Yeah, that uncured Pukani leaches some nasty stuff. Glad to hear you’re getting over it.

Hey. I think that there is a process of maturation of the system, especially on dry stones. I see cyano and diatoms of algae. Perhaps bacteria and time will help. Everything should stop. But I would not use a UV device. This is just my opinion. Successes.

Your build inspired a lot of what went into my build. I ended up curing my pukani for just a little over a week and used lanthum chloride and water changes to remove a lot of the phosphate. The rock has been in my tank for a few weeks now and I algae out break other than the normal diatoms after cycling. Your tank still looks great I can't wait to see future updates :)

Sorry about the fish loss. Happened to my tank last year...

What is the NO3 and PO4 level in this tank? What is it currently in the 45G? Be interesting to know...

Been 2 weeks since I add the first corals, all doing good so I decide to add another pack.
Most of them are new pieces I recently acquired so forgive me if the color are not dialed in! [emoji28]
Other corals are from my 45 gallons system, I don't need to tell, you will recognize them...by the color and sizes.

I haven't test for no3 on this tank yet. Last time I test for po4 on this tank, it was 0.01ppm (Hana Phosphorus checker)
I have no idea what are the numbers on the 45 Gallons! [emoji28]

Very nice . if my LFS was in walking distance - i'd be living paycheck to paycheck

Luckily the owner of the "store" let me cut whatever I want in this tank for free.[emoji39][emoji39][emoji39]
