DAILY QUESTION: How do you balance light intensity and duration to achieve optimal results in your reef tank?
BONUS ENTRY: "Answer our DAILY QUESTION posted in this thread."
I have read many articles about the correct duration of photoperiod and the right intensity to provide the ideal energy for my corals. This allows me to adjust these two parameters within certain limits when a greater oxidation is needed to combat an unwanted increase in nutrients or vice versa

DAILY QUESTION: How do you balance the needs of different coral types when setting up your lighting schedule?
BONUS ENTRY: "Answer our DAILY QUESTION posted in this thread."
first of all when you set up a new tank you need to have in mind the type of corals you intend to grow in your reef; this will allow you to build a rockscape with useful to position the various corals at different heights. in this way each coral can be positioned in the correct spot based on its light needs

DAILY QUESTION: Why is it essential to have a light that mimics natural sunlight and moonlight cycles?
BONUS ENTRY: "Answer our DAILY QUESTION posted in this thread."
Corals normally live in nature. These characteristics of the orphek icon nature allow you to faithfully recreate the natural marine environment. In this way the corals will believe they are still in nature and will allow you to breed them with greater success, promoting growth, coloration and even reproduction.

I love that this is plug and play because I’m not tech savvy. My coral could use a nice reef light since their mom hasn’t figured out how to use the one she has.

DAILY QUESTION: How do you balance the needs of different coral types when setting up your lighting schedule?
Its tough to do. Best I can do is put a coral that likes low light lower in the tank and farther away from the light source and vica versa for the light mongers.

Try to place the coral based on light requirements, I don't really change the schedule but do try yo set the intensity to be enough for the light lovers without overwhelming the lower light lovers.
