I think it is more of coral placement and finding a good in between in how long the duration is. I have never really had any extremely demanding corals (except once and that was accidental. Very hard to do but I balance the needs of different coral types in my lighting schedule by carefully adjusting the PAR levels to match the requirements of each coral. I use my already ORPHEK light to fine-tune the intensity and spectrum, ensuring that higher PAR zones are available for light-loving corals, while lower PAR areas are reserved for LPS and soft corals. That said, it looks like more of a trial and mistake basis where I keep on changing the flow and light until I see that my coral are in their happiest spot.
