You want to mimic nature. This means sun and moon. Goni spawning....DAILY QUESTION: Why is it essential to have a light that mimics natural sunlight and moonlight cycles?
DAILY QUESTION RESPONSE: The Natura iCon's wide blue spectrum is a significant advantage for coral fluorescence, particularly from a hobbyist's perspective. This spectrum enhances the vividness and intensity of coral colors, making the tank visually stunning and more enjoyable to observe. The blue light specifically excites the fluorescent proteins within corals, causing them to glow in brilliant greens, reds, and other hues. This not only highlights the natural beauty of the corals but also serves as an indicator of their health, helping hobbyists monitor their tank conditions more effectively. Additionally, the spectrum is designed to be energy-efficient while maximizing light penetration, ensuring that even corals placed deeper in the tank receive the benefits of this optimal lighting.DAILY QUESTION: What advantages do you see in the Natura iCon’s wide blue spectrum for coral fluorescence?

It’s not. Most reef tanks today tend to be a lot bluer than natural sunlight. Some take it to a very unnatural looking degree and still maintain healthy corals. With good water quality, the coral will give you a wide range of acceptable spectrum. So it’s important to have a light fixture or fixtures that will let you adjust channels and color blend (to get the look you want) while still providing the essential spectrum the corals need.DAILY QUESTION: Why is it essential to have a light that mimics natural sunlight and moonlight cycles?
