I didn't know I could rinse it, on the sand page it says that rinsing it could kill the bacteria and I got scared lol, will this work?

Don't worry about the bacteria on the sand... it's just bottled bacteria dumped in it. The rocks will have enough to get you started.

That's meant for bacterial issues and or green water Luis.
It's a coagulant that needs to be run with filter pad to trap the coagulant or it's useless.
Just keep going and let it settle out a bit.
Like Tim said there should be a clarifier package in with the sand.

Probably. I didn't mean to type know. I meant since you didn't rinse the sand it will be cloudy for a little bit. You can use Calcium Carbonate to help settle it out.

So I put the tank to work like this and wait for the water to clear up? I need to go out and get more water, Should I put the powerheads to work or leave it like that until I get back?

Yes.
Once you get it running the socks will help clear everything up nicely.

The mistake was mine and as a rookie for not asking you all about the sand

well I don't think it's a mistake cause i know better and still don't always rinse it. Rinsing takes time, and just wanna get water in it!!!! Looking good! Your going to have an amazing tank upgrade.

If you had a hang on back filter you could fill it with poly fill and it would help it clear up faster.
It's a good idea but I don't have a HOB filter, I'm just using the filter socks but it's clearing up a bit, I think tomorrow or the day after tomorrow it will clear up completely, and I still have a mess of cables to organize hahaha

Caught up! Hi Smorgs!

SeaWorld yesteday. Kids got to do Halloweening inbetween Sea Lion feeding and the Sea Lion show. Hey, how many sea lions have you had in your tanks at once!?
Coincidentally i was contacting someone on the black market for one but he said I need a bigger tank ;) :face-with-tears-of-joy:
