Looks like we’re all just encrusting with the Space Laser, with almost five months in our tanks. Probably will take off in the next month or two; fingers crossed
I was just thinking about this the other day. Seems like we are all having a slow start.

Are you not putting on any additional mass?

Mine isn't growing much vertically but is definitely thickening and getting more nubby.

Several have put on a decent base mass, with tip and branch growth, but not explosive growth. I assume in the next 60 days or so, you'll all see the gains you're looking for as basing completes and the frag feels it's sufficiently supported.

From the mother colony pic on the first page of this thread, I can tell this will base out a bunch before producing branches. The branches will likely come from the base and not the original stick. But it could also be a combo. I realistically don’t believe it will happen until month 7-9, given my experience.

@StatelineReefer here’s my late June/early July

That’s the best looking one I’ve seen so far. What’s your secret recipe, if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve been dosing ESV 2-part but I recently discovered it’s not keeping up with some of the important micro elements. I started dosing Red Sea Trace Colors C & D with my ESV Calcium a few days ago. 289B56FF-5949-4E91-93EB-BEFA5A2BD1BB.jpeg F42E3F8B-FA6E-43DE-A504-4A8A56B93A3D.jpeg

not sure what of what I do has the most/any impact, but I dose kalk slurry to keep my pH at 8.23 or higher, this keeps my alk between 8.2 and 9.4 (it swings quite a bit) I do biweekly 20% water changes with a high quality salt (Redsea blue bucket or tropic marin pro reef) my tank and sump have lots of surface area for bacteria which keeps my nutrients low but not too low (2-10/.02-.06), I feed heavy and adjust trace elements with monthly ICP tests. And I have good flow flow and lighting.

This guys has always been a relatively slow grower, and maybe not the penultimate choice for a grow out, vs sat the explosive Helltroll or the raindrops on roses as evidenced by the other grow out, but once he hits that critical mass point growth picks up for sure. Hang in their gang. by the end of this contest we should have some stunners:). things are looking good to me so far. keep up the good work my friends!

July pic @StatelineReefer

Nothing new to report; but, I might buy a pair of old Klipsch Cornwall speakers to help it grow bigger… Just put the speakers facing the tank and play Hans Zimmerman 24/7. I heard that works great growing acros!
