I will be drawing the Second Chances winner at midnight tonight for an entry into the Fall Grow Out and a Bargain Bin Box.

PM me if you do NOT want to be included in this, otherwise I will draw from among those dispossessed of their contest frag via Random.org and the winner will be posted here and in the Fall 2023 sign-up page.

This is my September submission.

CA:460
Alk:9.8
MG:1380
PH: 8.38

She’s looking good. She’s starting to go wide . She’s over two inches. Kind hard to hold the ruler steady. But I took a top profile. For comparison in later submissions
dude! the PE on yours is amazing! starting to see some of that pink in the tips it looks like too. whatever you are doing. keep it up!

Congrats to @oliverout! You've won a bargain bin box and an entry into the Fall 2023 Grow Out Contest!

PM me within 72 hours for details! Thank you, and all our participants, for being part of the Rainbow's Army grow-out! There's still six more months to go, and things are really (finally) starting to take off!

No progress and worse for wear after trying to brush off a little bit of the fuzzy brown prior to photo. Essentially has not grown or done anything since received. Thinking may be time to try desperate measures…

Alk ~ 8.1
Cal ~ 430
Mag ~ 1410
NO3 ~ 15 (recently bumped up target)
PO4 ~ 0.1 (been fighting low/ 0 for a few weeks)

So looking for thoughts and suggestions on frag above. Ever since it had some tissue lost the first month or so it hasn’t done anything. No signs of healing or growth. I just regularly try and pic vermitids off. Have tried brushing fuzzy algae off tip/base with battle brush a few times but it doesn’t really come off, and went a little aggressive this time for worse I think.

Thinking I’ll try and cut it down to remove the offending areas and maybe get some healing… don’t really have anything to lose trying, but wanted to see if anyone has any other tips or suggestions to try and resolve this before I try surgery

September submission @StatelineReefer

PE has decreased since adding a dwarf angel, I checked in on the corals at night and there is full PE, I may have to remove the dwarf. Also found a great deal on metal halide reflectors, ballasts and bulbs, so I am back to using halides, so far corals don't seam to mind.

Peroxide dip. It'll clean the algae off, won't harm the coral, and give it a fighting chance.
