    ID This Snot Please?

Have some snot on the back glass, that's growing in an interesting pattern. It's ONLY growing on the glass, and both the turbos and nerites are eating it, so I don't think (fingers crossed) it's dinos. Some of the strings are nearly a foot long, but no bubbles. Where it's growing best is on the...

    Identification help - new coral

Hi all, I picked up a new piece from the LFS this Friday. They had previously cut off a hunk (about 2" x 1" x 1" - like half of a tennis ball and hollow inside) from a large, established coral (maybe 2 feet all the way around!) that I bought. NOT sure what this is, but I'm guessing some sort...

    Another Algae ID Thread

Yet another person in need of an Algae ID. I have reviewed things online, and I'm just not skilled in the art of ID apparently. I do have a microscope, but I'm not sure what areas need to be photographed that would help. So, here are some in-tank, on a white paper plate and then under a...

    What Fish is This

My mom's friend knows I have a reef thank, they sent my mom a picture of this fish to ask me what it was and tell me I should get one. its a cool looking fish, don't think I want one though. given the coloration I am guessing its probably venomous. Either way, I would like to know what it is.

Bought this at a market in Bangkok. Assumed it was Fungia but its attached to the frag plug with about a cm tall trunk. This surprised me as I had thought Fungia are free-roaming.
