Hello Reefers-
I recently purchased this "Mighty Morphin Mummy Eye Chalice" from Cherry Corals. Can you help me identify the variation of Mummy Eye? It's either some variation of the original mummy eye, or maybe just the regular mummy eye? Oregon Mummy Eye? The chalice is fluorescing a bright...
not sure of the exact place this belongs. But this coral was given to me a few years ago. I have no clue as to what it is. Not the prettiest coral. As far as I remember, i dont think ive ever seen polyps either. I think i remember hearing it a “cup” coral. But after googling it im not quite...
Last night, I noticed in my sump a handful at least of small (pencil eraser-ish or smaller) snails cruising through my skimmer section of the sump and my skimmer column itself. The appearance was most like a stomatella snail.
Can anyone confirm that this is likely or possible? Any concerns or...
I just got this acro in a trade today.
Would Acropora kimbeensis be an adequate guess?
Country of origin is unfortunately unknown :(
Growth of the mothercolony is a somewhat high "table".
If anyone has seen it for sale somewhere, the "designer-name" would be great too :)
Thanks
Can anyone ID this green tabling Acro?
I'll include a macro shot of mine and a picture of the mother colony from my LFS.
I have not seen a tabling acro like this one ever
I don't know what it is about it but I always loved this particular acro in the show tank of my LFS.
After a...
Looking for some help. I can’t seem to identify this LPS. It came from LFS. Origin not disclosed.
Family is most likely Mussidae, but nothing in Veron or other references I have.

Ahoy again!
Another acro without a name here...
Latin or Hobby name or both are needed :)
Very nice green and blue color on this acro!
Edit: Usually the colors are a little stronger and the blue is less washed out- unfortunately I had to break it loose and dip it 3 days ago :(
Thanks!
Ahoy!
Is anyone able to ID this litle Acropora of mine?
Latin name and or hobby/designer name would be much appreciated :)
Coral grows long thin branches.
Growth is rather fast.
The coral seems to be very tough.
The color under bright Light is a deep purple with neon green tips.
Under low...
Are these tiny anemones? EAch about 1/2 cm to 1 cm, looks like tentacles around a central base/mouth? Haven't seen them move, and don't think they look like the aiptasia I've seen (they don't have a stalk -- just tentacles & base). they're clear with sort of white speckling. Hope that makes...
Just found this guy on the outside of my skimmer. He's from TBS Live Rock, so Gulf of Mexico.
About 1cm, translucent-ish, pale cream/tan with crazy spikes & antenna. WHAT IS THIS?!?
Every time I look at the tank long enough I find someone new, leading to the fun "Keep me / Remove me" question.
Any ideas on IDs for these guys? Each is about 1 cm.
I was sold these as treehouse of horror, but now that I have real treehouses I have no clue what these are. Any help would be appreciated. I was told belladonna but these have a completely different mouth!
So I just happens to look in my overflows and saw a bunch of these guys could really use some help on identifying what I have going on and the negative effects, please.
Thanks all
