Just found this guy on the outside of my skimmer. He's from TBS Live Rock, so Gulf of Mexico.
About 1cm, translucent-ish, pale cream/tan with crazy spikes & antenna. WHAT IS THIS?!?
Every time I look at the tank long enough I find someone new, leading to the fun "Keep me / Remove me" question.
Any ideas on IDs for these guys? Each is about 1 cm.
I was sold these as treehouse of horror, but now that I have real treehouses I have no clue what these are. Any help would be appreciated. I was told belladonna but these have a completely different mouth!
So I just happens to look in my overflows and saw a bunch of these guys could really use some help on identifying what I have going on and the negative effects, please.
Thanks all
Hey everyone,
I have an acro in my aquarium that I'm curious about. My LFS just called it a "green fuzzy acro" and gave me a pretty good deal, in terms of SPS coral, for it since it had broken off a colony.
Here is a picture of it:
The reason I'm curious about it is because the coralites are...
hi everyone,
Just got a colony of aqua blasto merlettis and as im qt-ing it, i noticed these round things at the bottom of the blasto skeleton stalk. Are these eggs of something bad or nothing? Thx for the input.
After feeding my tank last night, I noticed some motion and took a closer look. It was a long transparent tentacle coming from the live rock. The head was wriggling around pretty good. I took video with my phone, I apologize for poor quality.
Make sure to view in 1080p:
I've gotten pretty...
Hey guys! Noobie here! Just signed up today.
A single, small red bulb that comes to a tip has popped up in my tank (on my sandbed), and I'm not familiar with it. I was going to take a picture, but when I went back to the tank to snap a picture, it has since moved or disappeared! I'm not sure...
Hi. I have a 13.5 fluval saltwater kit. In it is 4 hermit crabs, a big turbo snail, and zoanthids, 1 candy coral, 1 brain coral, and 1 Lord. And 3 snails that are in my sand and only come out for food... idk the type they are so picture is included of the eggs and the snails. Also, I treated my...

Quickly becoming one of my favorites. I was concerned with how it would do since it was maricultured but it has settled right in with nice polyp extension day and night.
Any ideas on what it is? I'll get better pics here soon with my dslr but this is what i have for now
Thanks folks!!
I saw this weird white thing attached to my rock. Any ideas of what it is?
There are also some weird trails in the sand next to it.
Also, my nassarius snails are all crawling around near it, I don't know if that helps.
Hey folks,
We purchased a new piece of live rock today, and it had a mushroom coral on it, got it into the tank but am not sure on ID... any help? I want to be sure I'm placing it in a good spot so it doesn't die.
Thanks!
I have about 6 adult cerith snails in the tank. I've seen a couple of these tiny white snails that are shaped like ceriths. However, they also look like they could be pyramid snails.
What do you think?
So I bought this coral a few years ago. I bought it as a lobo for $5! When I bought it, it was about the size of a quarter. For the first year it always had it feeding tentacles completely open so I still thought it was a lobo that was always hungry. After it started growing it didn't really...
Hey guys I have had this Nephthea for a little over a year. It has always had this black crusty looking stuff on the stalk, kinda looks like charcoal. I never worried about it, the coral was doing great with big open polyps So i thought is was normal, maybe algae or something.
