Looks like mojano to me but want to make sure as it is next to a ricordea Yuma , can anyone help ID here are the best photos I could get it is very small right now
Hey everyone,
I noticed something weird on my rocks and was wondering if someone can ID it for me? I’ve looked around online with no luck. I’ve had the tank for about a year and this is the first time I’ve noticed this. Thanks In advance!!
I have recently noticed a feather duster like animal living inside the “stalk” of my new Duncan coral. There looks to be a small white hole in the coral where the “feather duster”pokes out. Is this critter harmless and if so how would I go about removing it from the coral? Any input is...
Hey! Long term lurker first time poster.
I’ve just pulled this critter out the sand. It has an orange mouth and kind of pinkish tentacles.
Should I worry?
Hello! About a week ago I took over a 4 year established biocube 29g. Wondering if this is aptasia or xenia.
Water parameters:
Temp: 77F
Salinity: 1.026
pH: 8.2
Nitrites: 0
Ammonia: 0
Nitrates: 40 (they were 160 before a 50% water change and i’m still working on getting it down)
Phosphates: 4…...
These guys are all over my tank. I have looked everywhere and asked many people, and no one seems to know what these are. They seem more active at night and when trying to touch the tentacle it retracts. I know it is definitely not a bristle worm or vermitid. And I do not think these things...
Purple shell, similar to a sundial. Concerned it will go after my coral but in the months I have had it, no such happening. It was a baby when it came into the tank.
Thank you
Hey guys & gals , happy weekend, hope everyone is doing ok
Recently found this growing underneath one of my scolymia, appears to be some sort of sponge / truncate but wanted to post photos just to make sure it’s not something more invasive which warrants removal
Here is a photo (attached) the...
Pest Identification! Currently in QT.
Purchased a small rock yesterday from a reefer with a couple of shrooms and so far have removed Asterina stars, I see small snails, flat worms of some sort, and a long white Nudi or worm of some sort with a spade shaped head. I’m planning on a Bayer dip...
Hello Everyone
This is a thread to hopefully finally figure out what these strange worms are. These have appeared in many threads in the past several years but so far we have no true ID , as it seems they are becoming more prevalent in our systems , I thought I would put together one final...
Can’t figure out what these guys are, they are starting to pop up in some frags that use to be clean. Don’t want to dip them again unless I have to, as I just changed the light spectrum that kind of made my tank mad at me these last couple of days (wanted less blue)
I was cleaning my coral with hydrogen peroxide solution and 2 worms dropped from the holes.
I don't know if it is a bristle worm which became fat due to hydrogen peroxide or it is my nightmare: a fireworm.
If these are fireworms are there any easy hacks to get rid of them.
My clove polyp wasn’t happy so I chose to move it. Before doing so though, I dipped it and this fell of the coral in the dip. And idea what it might be?

What is this hitchiker? Looks like a fireworm due to the glass hair spines but its too short to be one
and the belly looks like a suction cup type deal similar to abalones
Found this guy on a small chunk of liverock I just added to my nano tank last night. Is this an aiptasia? I've already removed the rock it is on from the tank just in case, but if it isn't aiptasia I'd like to add it back since that stuff is expensive. I don't usually use live rock so I'm...
At least three of these guys managed to hitchhike into my new nano tank on live rock. I will try to get better pictures tomorrow when the lights are back on, but they look like oyster drills to me. As far as I know, oyster drills are on the Atlantic side of FL and the rock came from the gulf...
It started at the base and has grown up the polyp and is now spreading outwards. I posted it last week but the picture was not the best so I am trying again with some better pictures. The frag was dipped before it went into the tank. If anyone knows what it is and what I should do please let me...
These little white-gray friends are spreading rapidly through the rocks. They dont look like they move (aka dont look like barnacles) and are a bit see-through. Some of the corals that are in contact with these are a bit angry. Anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it?
Hey everybody I was hoping for some help in identifying these worms in my tank. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it! This is the best picture I could get. The worm seems to have a white dot near its neck and a white dot on its tail.
Hi everyone I am new here and tried to find a picture of this hitchhiker that came in on one of the corals I currently got but could not find anything. It looks like a baby tuxedo urchin? But I thought I would ask to see if anyone here knew for sure just go be safe. Not sure if it’s good or bad.
Hey everyone,
Looking to see if anyone has a clue of what this might be. I have quite a few on different rocks in my tank. I’ve researched as much as I could and found nothing.
Thanks!
Algae problem causes me to suffer after past 6 months and finally found out is my light is too long after chit chatting with in a fish shop. Anyway, recently the tank suddenly appeared many kinds of hitchhikers: a kind of algae,Vermetid Snail, one or two fireworms (At least looks like, it has...
