ID this snail eating red legged crab please?

We just bought our first batch of livestock for our first marine tank yesterday. We bought 6xCerith, 6xTrochus, 6xNassarius and 6 red legged hermits. Looks like we are losing the crabs slowly. I think 3 are already gone (24 hours). I caught a Nassarius smothering one, not sure if he was...

Some type of snail on my conch and hermit crab shell.

Hey y’all, I need some help. I’ve got a more detailed background of my tank on my build thread, I’m going to post a few pics and if anyone can help me ID I would be so thankful. I’m going to have to restart my tank & rip clean, especially with all these issues, but I would still like to know...

What’s this growing on my glass?

Curious to see what this may be growing on the glass of my Copepod grow tank. There are 4-5 of these that have seemingly shown up over night. I recently moved the copepods from a 5 gallon bucket into this tank. Before doing so I thoroughly washed and scrubbed this tank with vinegar and water...

    Possible Aiptasia ID

Hi everyone, I’m a reasonably new reefer and was wondering what this little hitchhiker might be. I’m concerned it could be aiptasia but it has only slowly grown over a month or so and it has not reproduced to my knowledge. It also doesn’t look like aiptasia that I’ve seen. Any help would be...

Looks like a mite or something. Also it appears to be attacking dinos

Pretty much what the title said. Looks similar to a mite and appears to be attacking dinos. I attached a video below. Please pardon the random movements because I lost the creature and was looking for it again. I can’t attach a video because the file I have is too large but I will attach a...

Cleaning my sump and found this..?

Wassup Reefers, Cleaning my sump today and found this little thing on my skimmer. I have only seen one once before in my tank a hand full of months ago and it was between a frag shelf and the glass. (which I got rid of) It looks almost like a vein or root that definitely gets larger over time...

Looks like a pod but any confirmation?

So I was taking a dinoflagellate ID and I saw this little pod that looks like it was stuck or it was feeding. Can anyone confirm? I attached a video, and to see it you need to be on a laptop or desktop. It doesn’t work from the phone for some reason. #reefsquad

    Strange critter ID please

Today I found this mushroom moved over and underneath where it used to be was this thing. It is bright orange under the light and theres about 30 legs all appearing to come from the same spot. Definitely moving and looks like the legs are stretching out and grabbing things. Should I remove it...

    Can someone ID this worm?

Does anyone know what this is? I found this worm just sitting out on the open on a frag tile in the frag tank. Their is now sand and zero live rock. It could have been introduced on a frag plug but I dip everything before it enters this tank. I’m just confused on how I’m just now seeing this...

White Cluster Growth on Zoa Polyp

I’m wondering if anyone can ID this white (not the color it appears in the photo) cluster growth on the side of one of our zoa polyps. It’s solid white and in a circular formation. The edges are made of these little tube things with a hole in the middle of each. Doesn’t seem to be bothering the...

    Tiny Sand Creature ID

Hi All - I have these tiny critters running around my sand bed. They look somewhat transparent but with a red/brown body. Look to be more walking vs. wiggling and tend to see more of them when I feed. In the attached video you can see them in the middle to lower third of the video. Any idea...

2 tiny critters I need identified please.

This one I should have taken a picture of while still in the tank but it looks pretty much the same (first pic is the top side, second is the bottom). It was clung to the glass and (with a glove on) I drug it up to the surface and struggled the take it off the glass and it felt pretty...

    Tube worms in the rocks?

Hi all, I have noticed a few of these things growing / living around various parts of my rockwork ... And a few more in number than several weeks ago. I think one or a few of these came in on a frag and now I've got quite a few. They protrude maybe 0.25 inch long, and appear to have strands...

White fuzzy stalks - what is it?

My 4-month-old tank has been thru various phases of the uglies that have been relatively mild, but I see a new growth that I'm having a hard time identifying. As shown in the photo, these white fuzzy stalks are attached to rocks (or the back wall) -- the one pictured is about 3 mm tall, others...

Not sure how long its been hiding here

Saw these a couple weeks ago. They were on a piece of rock that was mostly buried in sand. They look like they're growing. 2 weeks ago they were just little brown circles.
