I rushed home last night from a different town to look at my tank at home after learning about copepods. And sure enough I see these guys doing a business meeting in my tank!! I know there are different...

Any clue if these are GSP or something else?

I noticed these guys the other day on a piece of rock. They sort of look like GSP but they don’t have the purple crust like GSP and they are more white with a very light hint of green on the tips of the tentacles I do have GSP in my tank and they are sort of similar to the smaller ones I can...

    Worm ID

Been trying to ID this worm on the side of a rescue coral. It is a hard shell with the mouth on the left side. I think the coral is a torch, but still recovering. The coral has white milky stuff coming off every few days.

Hey all, assuming this torch is fine but curious as to what this is, not sure if it caught some food and is eating or if irritated, hasn't been retracted lately and all water params are in my standard range. Just curious to know if this can be identified.. TIA!

Strange worm, almost looked like filter feeder/alien lol please ID

I was watching my rock flower nems (because I keep hoping for spawning) and saw this thing, i thought it was one of my brittle starfish at first, but you can see one of the starfish legs above it so I know it's not that. Plus it moved like a worm? And like folded into itself, also it almost...

    Critter ID on zoas

Hi everyone! I received my first ever corals the other day. I dipped them in Coral RX and also hydrogen peroxide to remove some algae. I’ve been watching them constantly on a frag rack to make sure there’s no nasty critters or aiptasia before fixing them into the tank. Today I’ve noticed...

    Amphipod: good or bad one?

Hello all, I've got an amphipod population that I impulsively added to my new tank from my old tank. I was focusing on the biodiversity in the new tank before thinking about the fact I might be transferring a pest. Can anyone help identify what type of amphipod this is? I am concerned...

    Hermit Crab ID

This is Eugene. I collected him in South Florida back in June on the Atlantic side while on a weekend trip down there. He started off super small (smaller than a blue legged hermit crab) but is growing far faster than any other hermit crab I've ever had. He spends all day cleaning the sand bed...

    Snail Pest

Saw a bunch of these egg-like fellas wiggling on the top part of my cerith snail. I just treated it like it was an invasive parasite; they easily came off the snail when I isolated it and blew some water over it. But I’m curious, what were these critters?

Unknown roomie in my new reef tank

I set up a new 40 gallon breeder about 3 months ago. Recently added a cleanup crew with a few snails, some hermit crabs and a couple of tiger conch (though the person that sold them to me told me they were turbo snails). I did some cleaning today and had to pull a few rocks out and scrubbed...

Fluorescent Red/Orange Bubble Growing On Rock

Anyone know what this is? It glows fluorescent orange under blue LEDs. I noticed it growing on my live rock recently. Doesn’t seem to spread or grow very rapidly. Is it a cool hitchhiker or something I need to remove? It feels almost like an anemone between my fingers.

    Crab molt ID?

I just found this molt on the rockwork of my aquarium and I realized I have never knowingly put a crab like this in my tank. Does anyone know what kind of crab this is? It's barely the size of a dime. I tried to ID it using Google search by image and I kept getting either large Land crab...
