Hey guys so I came here to ask why my zoa's have stopped growing, a while ago they were popping out new polyps every few days and now they don't. Nothing in my tank has changed since I've had the zoa's. If anyone could help or leave a suggestion that would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!!

You want to maintain nitrates and phosphates on the high end of normal. Test your iodine, if on the low end you will need to dose and you should see quick improvement.
I think that might be it! I might go to my lfs tomorrow so they can test it, my cleaner shrimp sometimes have algae growing on them before they molt and I have 6 of them and tons of zoas so I'm thinking that's it. Thank you!!!!!

Zoas also don't like detritus on their base. Gently blowing them off with a turkey baster may help as well.

From what I researched it is especially helpful for zoas. I haven’t seen anything about LPS but again I was just looking for information on zoa health, growth and colors. I’m sure all corals need it to some degree as it’s in all of our salt mixes. Happy reefing!
