Hi Experts, Noticed my Koran keeps looking down occasionally for the past 2 weeks. Not swimming as it used to but it is eating well and looks healthy too... anything i should be worried about? Thanks.

hmm does it float like that in open water or just near the corals? Could be looking for food?

[HASH=27276]#Fishexperts[/HASH] [HASH=10531]#reefsqaud[/HASH] anyone familiar with this behavior?

No.. it only does it near its favourite resting place, don't think it is looking for food.

The trouble is, by itself, that isn’t a symptom of any of the regular diseases. I do see that the fish has some epithelial thinning around it’s face, but that isn’t a treatable symptom either. If it isn’t breathing fast and is still eating well, I just would not have a treatment to suggest. Some fish do develop stereotypic behavior in captivity, but I’ve never seen this particular one before.

Thank you very much Jay, will keep an eye and update. My koran developed HLLE a few months after i got it into the tank.. after researching making some changes to my system (e.g. changing my active carbon media) HLLE started to reduce/recover slowly.. so, what you see are some of the scars.

@Jay Hemdal and others, a quick update. My Koran is looking fine and not doing the looking down thing for a while now. Thanks all.
