Hi, I have had this wrasse for about 5 years. Woke this morning and laying on sanded with what looks like an injury or possible parasite on top of body. Wanted to get second opinion on injury.

Did you add anything to your tank recently? if not, you can most likely rule out parasite.

5 years is a long time, wrasse live 5-8 years typically depending on how old it was when you got it.

This fish has raised scales and missing scales which suggest aggression from tank mates(s) and can also be due to flukes (possibility) which often raised scales from irritation is a by-product of such as would be injury

Thanks, I moved him to quarantine tank. Could be my brown tang or sailfin but typically they just show aggressive fir a minute or 2 out of the day.
