I put mine in the back corner of my tank. On the glass. I took it out cause I didn't like seeing it on the glass and put it in my smaller tank and haven't done much to it in there. I just let it grow, but all the corals in there are fast growers and they seem to keep each other in check. In my bigger tank, I would just cut it in half every few months. It was easy to scrape off cause it was on the glass.
