You might could also contact your bank before a live sale. There is a huge arts show I go to every year and they use to always flag my account because it would be vendors from all over the country. Now I just call before hand so it's not an issue.

You can also call your bank pre-sale and notify them your card will be charged in "x" state or by "x" store. I do this on vacations etc ..
