Yes, it is just as hardy! Just be aware that just because it is an SPS coral it doesn't mean that it wants high light. Birdsnest don't like much light, so place them low in your reef.

They are a great option for the bottom of a barebottom tank... which is where mine will be living.

I started it on the sandbed when I got my standard from you and raised it up over a few weeks. It's held it's color extremely well and it's actually had some noticeable growth. The WWC purple polyp birds nest has been growing but is browned but it's gradually coming around. I'm wondering now if I should have left it even lower, or if it just needs time to settle in and it may color up better.
