I had my own file fish fiasco... brought it for the aiptasia, which, in its defense, it did eat.

Then it moved on to the rest of my corals. Including my AOI.

Yeah, One of mine never touched the aiptasia, and overnight, he stripped several of my favorite corals. I got convinved to try another one. He at least ate the aiptasia, but was picking at the other corals too. So I took him out and thought not worth it. I haven't had great luck with peppermints. I have done berhgia though. They keep them down for a few montsh until they starve themselves, and then the aiptasia comes back.

My rock flower disappeared the day after I got it. Haven’t seen it since, no clue if it’s dead or alive. Never found it in the powerheads or overflow
Mine has fit itself through some tiny places when I first got it. Hopefully yours reappears someday

That's pretty much been my experience as well. Peps are useless and just steal food from the corals, berghia work but never completely, and filefish eventually develop a taste for other corals.
