They have posted a TON so far, keep an eye out :)

Yep, you just have to be REALLY quick on the draw with the $5 corals. They become easier to snag the deeper into the sale you go, the 2-frag limit helps.

Oddly, despite being listed as a 'beginner' coral, I've never had luck with favias, favites or platygyra... plenty of other corals have done well, but those three never seem to even come close to thriving.

Mine have had reasonable amounts of success. I also have a christmas favia, but it is not preforming as well as these two have been.

Before the filefish was evil, did you feed them directly, or just let them be?

They always seemed to catch the mysis in the water. I watched them to make sure they were getting food, but never did target feeding. If they hadn't been catching it, I probably would have target fed.

I do have a new one that I am babying and am making sure mysis gets to it more diligently than I was with my file fish food.

Agreed, I grabbed one $5 so far, and almost hit "pay now" on my second but backed out to wait for one I really like. Plenty of time left :D

I think my war coral is the only one that's going to make it from the file fish fiasco. They seem incredibly hardy. It's the only one that has grown any new tissue since removing the file fish anyways.
