does the Joe Dirt really grow into that ? Looks different for sure lol
When acros are fragged they are weird they change colors and can be more or less colorful than the mother colony, but assuming all your parameters, flow and lighting is in check it should turn out like that.

Hope this doesn't sound stupid, but how do we know which monitpora are plating or entrusting, etc?

I'm not sure. I use to not be able to tell either. But after a while I have seen enough that I can tell which way they are growing to grow. I have no clue how I can tell that..... It's something that will come with time I suppose.
