WWC 900 Gallon Broodstock Reef Build and Progression Thread! Need I say more?

If you have a Nikon DSLR (like I do) forget about trying to take 100% blue LED photos. The white balance on Nikon cameras sucks bad. Canon is far superior in that regards and you can take photos like the ones above by just setting a custom white balance on the camera.

We shoot RAW so the cameras white balance doesn't matter because that data is not imported into Lightroom. These photos were taken with a Nikon D610.

Custom white balance would be good for grabbing nice JPEGs fast.

Cool, I'll have to try one of those filters. I use a D750 with a Tamron 90 macro and when I try to take 100% blue LED pics (reefbrites) the camera simply can't handle it. The pictures turn out completely washed out with blue and no amount of photoshop/lightroom is able to correct it. I don't know if its a problem with my camera or the D750? But, a filter might help.

A few zoanthids on the bottom are having issues but we think that is flow related.
