I didnt notice any mentions regarding par, What are your par readings on your current system?
Thanks
I took some measurements to better answer your question. It looks like I have my lights cranked up a bit more than I thought. The radions are running at 80% peak. I'm hitting about 900 par on the highest corals that have grown to about 1-2" under the water surface. Mid tank I'm seeing around 400-500 and at the bottom glass anywhere from 150-300.
I think this is a bit overkill. Even really high light acros I don't think will gain much from more than 500-600 PAR.
I'm not going to turn it down though, because the tank is pretty filled in and some pieces are suffering from shadowing even with the lights turned up this high. If it was a less mature tank and colonies weren't overlapping I'd definitely turn the lights down to save electricity, reduce heat, and increase the life of the LEDs.
