Montipora are new to me. Anyone want to give the cliffs note? They look beautiful
They are pretty easy, if you have sucsess with LPS then you will do fine.

Slightly higher light levels and slightly lower nutrients than LPS but no as picky as Acros. They grow pretty fast once established also.

would someone be kind enough to compare and contrast the waving hand anthelia and the pulsing Xenia? I don't want a Xenia and the anthelia looks awful similar...

I got some pulsing xenia as a $5 frag. Everything I am reading says they grow too fast. Anyone have this in their tank or have some advice?

I started my personal reef a little over 2 years ago, but I minored in geophysics (ocean chemistry) when I was in undergrad and interned at the GA aquarium. Then I got really into plants and science education.
Thats amazing! Would love to work at the GA aquarium and study coral biology again. Did my undergrad thesis on corals. It was so fun!

If you had success with other lps, could they be a good beginner friendly addition?
