Hello everyone,
I will be documenting the whole process from initial set up over the next year or so. I have not had a reef tank in over 20 years and boy has a lot changed. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.
For now I have purchased the below items

Reefer MAX 200 G2+ System
200W Titanium Aquarium Heater(with inkbird)
40 Lbs LifeRock Dry Live Rock - CaribSea
20 lb. Special Grade Arag-Alive! Reef Sand - CaribSea
4oz One & Only Live Nitrifying Bacteria - Dr.Tim's
125mL MicroBacter7 - Brightwell Aquatics
1 Jar Galaxy Pods - AlgaeBarn
Sand & Rox Box from Tampa bay Saltwater
Mag Float 30

For now I plan to set up the tank, add water and my aquascape with the dry rock. I'll add some ammonia and the bottle of dr. Tim's then give it a few days just cycling water with the pump. I plan to add in the sand and small live rocks from tbs within a few days of setting up the tank and then if the tank cycles off ammonia well I will add the galaxy pods and go grab 2 clowns. I have a few questions I could really use some help on below.

-Do I need to turn the lights on when I add the TBS live rock and sand?
-Should I even use the microbacter7, and if so add it in at what stage?
-What % and how often should I start doing water changes?

Thanks everyone

Following along! We did TBS in our pico tank and left the light on. Water change is up to you. You could do a 10% weekly, which should be fine!
