I use my mag float every day to get fresh algae. Then when I do my water chance once a week (usually on Saturdays days) I will pull out a razor blade and scrap away the algae left from the mag float. Then to make sure I got a good squeaky clean tank I use an acrylic pad and give a good one over and top it off with a wipe down of fritz glass and acrylic cleaner. About 30 minutes later pow PERFECTION.

I use the magnet scraper, and lately it's been just about every day. Sometimes I use the metal edge on a stick thing to get the back side if i'm feeling lazy.

I use a Mag Float and a razor blade. I usually mag float every 2 days and use the blade during water changes.

A bit of an update for by Tank thread.

Build Thread - Aquaone Nano 80 - 130L

Here is my Aquaone Nano 80 - Its a 130 L. Its up and running about 2 weeks now. How it looks: IMG_4332 by , on Flickr I've about 13kg of live rock, a tunze 6025 wavemaker. The first wild life went in at weekend 5 scarlet hermit crab and 5 nassarius snails.

I've been using the same mag float for many, many years. I guess I could use a new one. On the outside I use "Perfect Glass" and an old soft t - shirt.
