Hi, today I received a clarkii clownfish in the mail. And it came with some pretty bad fin rot. It wasn’t moving at all at first but now that it’s in the tank, it found an anemone that it likes. Will the anemone help heal its fin rot?

It might significantly reduce stress and help recovery, but my gut tells me no.

However it seems stress is a huge factor on fish disease, I def would have QTd it first, hopefully it's not contagious whatever it has, and that it's not too far progressed to require antibiotics.

I've had fresh water fish lose significant amount of tissue come back without intervention way back when we started keeping fish, so maybe keeping it happy and calm in a nem it feels safe with is the best thing for it.

I might figure out if there is a safe antibiotic to treat the tank with if I were in your shoes, but I I have always abstained from treating my display and have always pre treated all of my tanks inhabitants.
