It’s been like this for a few days now. My alkalinity is 8.4, pH is 7.80, nitrate is .09 and phosphate is .06. My frammer is also closed up and not extended like it normally is.

zoas reach and extend usually when they need higher light and or flow. as for the hammer, what are your other parameters? calcium and mag, your nitrates are also a bit low, I keep mine at 15-20 ppm

I don’t test for calcium and magnesium. I should get a Hanna checker. I’m going to up the light. I did tweak the white light down a bit so I’m guessing maybe that’s what’s affecting it. As far as the frammer goes I did move it recently to a different location, so I moved it back to its old location yesterday. I’ll keep an eye on it for now.

What can I do to increase my nitrate? I have a pair of clowns, firefish, mandarin dragonete, royal gramma. I feed baby brine shrimp a 2-3x a day and frozen copepods. I also gut load my brine shrimp.

i always suggest brightwells neonitro because when my nitrates bottomed out it boosted it back up to my target within a few days.
