I have conchs urchins starfish pistols. But my favorite is gonna have to be my sixline. I know isn't know as much of a cuc, but I've seen him picking at pests and eating algae. Though he is a bit fat he likes to eat my frozen brine.

Do pistol shrimp need sand ? I have a bare bottom and would like one but want him happy too.
I couldn’t imagine one without sand - they spend all day digging.
Would you be able to create a section of the tank that has sand in it?

After watching a video of a pistol take out a cleaner shrimp, I'll stick with the cleaner shrimp.

I did have an idea of a little zen sand garden for him, I like my cleaner more.

Tigers and candy canes are basically blind - they won’t hurt anything.
If I’m thinking of the same video, that was a Japanese pistol (I think) which is one of the nonpairing ones that will hunt shrimp.

My blue legged hermit crab that died recently, who was a cold blooded murderer. His favorite shell was whatever new snail I put in the tank. Didn't matter how many other shells there were on the floor, If he didn't get to rip a corpse out of it, it wasn't worth wearing.

Conches, nassarius vibex (love them coming out the sand zombie style), and trochus snails (when they actually last a bit). Ill get some hate for them but emerald crabs do have a soft spot, but I kept fowlr tanks for years so they were always around.

-Hermits are fun to watch
-Torchus snails eat tons of algae and stay active
-I’m considering adding a little 6line wrasse to take out some strange hydroid medusa thats all over one of the tanks but not (knowingly) hurting anyone? Either way, they should go and I think a 6line would love to take care of that.
