It would be the juv emperor or yellow tang
In a couple years it will be your mature emperor for sure. I had one for years and he was a grumpy guy. Didn’t chase fish, but he sure let them know if they got in his way. He had audible “bark” that I could hear from upstairs, in the tank was in the basement. I may get another one some day. You can see “Larry King” hanging out in his cave in the bottom right of the full tank shot. I really wish my neighbor didn’t have that fire that ruined my whole condo (and aquarium)!!!

“Gary” my Picasso trigger that I’ve had since 2003 is surely the mayor. He’s rarely mean to other fish (except new additions), he seems like he’s smarter than all of the other fish, and he goes robbed early because he has work to do tomorrow….and he’s old!

Sorry, no mayor in our tank only a dictator….our Desjardini. He sets the rules, runs an oppressive society and decides the pecking order for eating and sleeping locations I don’t see any future overthrow occurring in our tank.’

For me, it is a pink spot Goby. "Moe" is always keeping an eye on what the others are doing, and regularly rises from the depths to let them know if they are in the wrong. I'm certain he is the one biting other's tails. I have seen him nudge our cleaner shrimp too.

Well that’s a hard one…
I think in the long term it’s either both of these or one of them.

Currently however, it’s this 4 year old brute, he hates new fish that are larger bodied and really is my most aggressive fish.

My juvenile Doctor Tang, Kokomo. She moved in about two months ago and terrorized her tankmates into submission. Super demanding, nosey, and a picky eater. What can I say; she's a nut.
What’s a doctor tang ?
